Welcome to Restaurant Ájtte

Restaurant Ájtte is one of the few Sami restaurants in the Scandinavian Arctic.

We are very proud to have been commended for our Sami cuisine in the 2007 edition of the White Guide (which rates Swedish restaurants) and to have received an award, as early as 1992, from the Swedish Academy of Gastronomy.

Our restaurant serves traditional Swedish fare for lunch on weekdays. If youd like to try Sami fare, you can order suovas, which is salted and smoked reindeer meat , or some other Sami dish from the ŕ la carte menu. When dinners are booked in advance, the focus is on Sami cuisine.

A warm welcome, Gunda
